I honestly don't remember this dungeon (mausoleum) appearance and layout anywhere else. It has been a looong time since I've done them all though...

Nah, looking back at the entrance from through the first jagged archway and I don't even have a whiff of remembrance of it.

Did the new hotfix patch allow accounts without EoTN to enter the area?

With the portal jump trick you could get 'behind' the entrances to slaver's exile and explore the whole map. Essentially, all dungeons areas are there and areas that haven't been used in the game. Most of this particular area that we see in the mausoleum has been used in the area when you go to eotn.

All three intro's into EotN share the same map, the mausoleum is a modified version of that map. In the EotN version, the area where we start in the mausoleum doesn't have a door, but rather a Balthazar mural and a broken asura gate.

I usually despise real world references in RPGs, but the "Cthulu" in the third Kamadan quest was pretty cool.

hm, has anyone tried the rotscale one in HM (eg to vanquish the area) with the mad kings guards it should be easier (right????)...was thinking of trying this since I am working on vanquishing tyria.
(it was indeed fun to finally kill rotscale with only my 3 heroes and the guards nm of course)...............

It was easier to vanquish Joko's Domain. It should be easier to vanquish Majesty's Rest. Though that's not very hard if you can handle Rotscale in HM.

I killed rotscale Hm...wasn't hard. Did it because i had rotscale zquest in my log.

Only annoying things was the mad king gurads spawning again every 30 sec and aggroing everything

I agree. Those guards were a pain.

I was boiling after that Mausoleum quest because I failed to load in to the new explorable the first time then the guards were aggroing craploads of monsters (a la WiK allies).

I'm not sure if it's a coincidence, but this Mausoleum... In the survey the other month when they asked: "How interested are you in seeing stories that explore existing game lore?" I put down in detail that they should involve Rotscale a bit more (make a quest that actually sends you to him), especially the tomb he seems to be guarding and that they should make a dungeon entrance there..

Coincidence or not, I am very happy with this!

My friend and I did the LA ones, was surprised at the size of the mobs inside the Mausoleum.

I thought to myself, thank god this was NM, we didn't set up for HM and I would hate to have to run all the way there again.

I just did the Countess quests and had a great time. Just difficult enough that you couldn't zip right through it except for the first one. I suppose that's why that one only rewards 50 Tots. I think they did a nice job.

@Polgara - did they promise more quests? We have six new ones.

Not a clue to be honest, however if thats all there is to it then I have to admit I am fairly dissapointed because we pretty much ate those 6 quests in a blink of an eye.

Would have expected more to be honest, the event still has almost a full week to go still, would have thought they had more up there sleeve. I am getting the impression there will be more but I guess we will see. Still, I enjoyed the quests.

Best bit about vanquishing the zone on hard mode means your henchman are level 20 if you got them from ToA and you have a massive team!

The second quest in Elona amused me probably more than it should have. But then again, Palawa Joko is like one of the best characters ever, so that's probably why.

Silly question here, but is the scalp collector (Horseman Sorcein) in Lion's Arch? I have failed to find him for the past three days. There's a mention on the wikipedia about him being in "upper storage" but I have no idea where that is.

I'm only running Prophecies. EOTN is coming from Newegg, but it may take a few days...

Help a girl out?

Thanks!

There is a second set of storage above the area where the mechants (dye, materials, runes and so on) stand. If you hold down "alt" when in that area it should make him easier to find.
